Wuhan Automotive Replacement Policy Update to Suspend Implementation on August 19

Viewpoint News: On August 18, the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued a notice adjusting the 2025 automotive replacement policy. The automotive replacement update policy will temporarily suspend implementation starting from 24:00 on August 19, 2025.

After the policy is suspended, consumers must purchase a new car by August 19 and complete the new car registration and old car transfer registration by August 31. They must also submit subsidy application materials through the Hubei Provincial Automotive Replacement Update Service Platform. Any applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Existing applicants must correct their materials by September 30 or forfeit their eligibility.

Additionally, the automotive scrapping update policy will continue to be implemented.
