TÜV Rhein InnoHub Unveils: "Technology + Experience" Defines New Era for Future Travel and Lifestyle
Sheng’an District Deputy Director Hu Yong, Sheng’an District Science and Technology Committee Vice Chairman Xie Tian, Sheng’an District Market Supervision Bureau Third-level Researcher Zhang Yi Jun, Shanghai Dingsheng Assets Management (Group) Company Party Secretary and President Mao Lijun, TÜV Rhein Greater China Region President Xia Bo, Senior Vice President of Product Services Yang Jiaqiang, Transportation Services Senior Vice President Huang Yu Xin, and Shanghai Branch Executive Director Lu Xionghai (Lutz Frankholz), among others, attended the opening ceremony.
TÜV Rhein Greater China Region Senior Vice President Yang Jiaqiang delivered a speech
Yang Jiaqiang said in his speech: "As AI big models reconstruct human-machine interaction logic, AR/VR reshapes visual perception boundaries, pet economy becomes an emotional consumption blue ocean, TÜV Rhein InnoHub's mission not only verifies the safety of technology but also builds a 'technology-experience-emotion' value loop centered on real-world usage scenarios. We will drive and empower the entire Greater China region with our laboratory clusters in Shanghai and Shenzhen, and assist clients and partners to transform cutting-edge technologies into user experiences that are 'warm, memorable, and innovative'."
InnoHub's six professional laboratories push forward frontier technology
Intelligent Seating Laboratory: Using its unique 180-degree high-definition LED ring, intelligent motion platform, and environmental simulation lighting system, the laboratory achieves a driving environment that is close to reality, simulating various visual and auditory stimuli to simulate the interaction process between drivers and intelligent seating systems.
User Research Laboratory: Equipped with indoor and outdoor light source simulators, action capture cameras, brain, heart, skin, muscle, eye movement, and visual function testing instruments, the laboratory can flexibly set up experimental scenarios based on human factors research projects and analyze product functions objectively and subjectively.
Display Optical Research Center: Comprising XR test platforms, flat display test platforms, projection, and large screen test platforms, environmental light test platforms, and reflection characteristic test platforms, the center can conduct parameter analysis, testing evaluation, and certification for AR/VR goggles, displays, and other products.
Peripherals Ecology Innovation Center: Focusing on key technologies supporting peripherals products such as handwriting pens, screen protectors, touchscreens, and Type C charging, the center verifies performance and optimizes user experience through deep coupling of objective testing data and subjective evaluations.
Sound Perception Research Laboratory: Using a fixed reverberation time room and Heidelburg acoustic system, the laboratory explores product-user interaction through sound and researches important features such as noise reduction, sound quality, and auditory assistance.
Pet-Friendly Research Room: Simulating real family environments to create pet living spaces, the laboratory observes pets interacting with cleaning appliances, monitoring devices, pet toys, pet food and water machines, and automatic cat litter boxes, establishing a database of pet biological information and identifying test points and optimization directions for pet products.
Focusing on auxiliary driving sensing performance, intelligent sensing and perception laboratory is simultaneously launched
As the development of autonomous driving technology accelerates, complex environmental sensing system performance verification becomes a focus of industry attention. Therefore, TÜV Rhein has built an intelligent sensing and perception test laboratory at its Changzhou base in Jiangsu Province, which officially opened on the same day.
The laboratory is the first third-party sensor performance testing laboratory with indoor environment simulation booths in the industry, meeting the requirements for point cloud performance testing based on the latest international standard for vehicle-mounted laser radar. The laboratory is equipped with a fully automated 60-meter rail track and high-precision turntable, allowing for system-level assessment of key sensing performance; a 20-meter-long environmental simulation booth that can quantitatively and reproducibly simulate rain, fog, snow, and other environmental conditions; and advanced digital twin systems enabling automatic operation and data visualization during testing.
Moving forward, deepening industry chain collaboration innovation
TÜV Rhein InnoHub leverages its laboratory cluster as a driving force to build an innovative ecosystem covering research and development, testing, certification, and experience optimization. Future plans will continue to expand into fields such as smart home appliances, multi-modal reliability, wisdom algorithm platforms, consumer robots, and artificial intelligence, deepening collaboration with industry partners, universities, and medical institutions to drive innovation with "technology + experience" double wheels, helping enterprises seize market opportunities and win user trust.
