After Residents in Yuhang, Hangzhou Report Unusual Taste of Tap Water, a Similar Issue Emerges in Shenzhen's Nanshan District!
Glorion Daily News August 12th|Integrated Media Report, following residents in Yuhang, Hangzhou reporting unusual taste of tap water, a similar issue emerges in Shenzhen's Nanshan district. In early August, residents in a small community in Lianhai Street, Nanshan District, Shenzhen reported that the water had an unpleasant odor. Relevant authorities took water samples from the second-pumping station and tested the results, which showed that the total number of colonies, total large intestine bacteria, and Escherichia coli were not qualified.
Local water utility staff recently confirmed this information, stating that the small community is a secondary water supply area. After receiving complaints, they promptly switched to municipal direct-supplied water to ensure residents' water use. Currently, they are further repairing potential hazards and ensuring that wastewater will not flow back. "Due to heavy rainfall, the water pool above the community's water storage area experienced seepage, causing surface runoff, rainwater, and sewage to contaminate the water pool. As of now, there is no issue with residents' water use; we have conducted water sample tests, which all show that the water is fine, and we will continue to actively address subsequent matters."
