Beijing Distributes 10 Million Movie Subsidies, with the Most Cinemas Nationwide
Recently, the Beijing municipal government launched the "Watch Movies, Enjoy Life - Summer Film Festival in Beijing" activity, distributing 10 million yuan in movie subsidies, applicable from July 25th to October 8th. The activity covers various benefits such as early-bird discounts, all-day passes, golden-time slots, and film zones, among others. Additionally, it has partnered with Meituan to issue 250,000 coupons worth 66 yuan each, redeemable for cross-industry discounts at 30 citywide shopping districts with a movie ticket.
The activity is jointly hosted by multiple Beijing departments, simultaneously promoting Beijing-produced films such as "Dongji Island" and " Luo Xiaohua War Record 2". Moreover, there are extended activities including tech-enabled movie experiences and regional connections.
This event continues the experience of "ticket economy", aiming to reduce movie costs and stimulate related consumption. The commerce department has also rolled out multiple subsidy and service optimization measures, expecting to release a multiplier effect for "movie + consumption". Citizens can participate in the activity through the Maoyan platform and enjoy summer film festival discounts.
