Beijing's Above-scale Industrial Value Added Growth Reached 6.1%
According to the Beijing Statistics Bureau, from January to July, Beijing's above-scale industrial value added grew by 6.1% compared with the same period last year. In key industries, computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing saw a growth of 24.2%, automobile manufacturing saw a growth of 11.5%, electric power, heat supply, and production saw a growth of 4.7%, pharmaceutical manufacturing saw a decline of 9.3%, and the five major equipment manufacturing industries saw a growth of 9.5%. Above-scale industrial exports reached ¥1195.9 billion, growing by 4.6%, with automobiles and pharmaceutical manufacturing seeing increases of 33.0% and 11.3% respectively. High-end manufacturing made significant contributions, with above-scale industrial strategic emerging industries, high-tech manufacturing industries, and new growth areas seeing value added growths of 17.2% and 9.5% (with some overlap). Some high-end or emerging fields saw rapid production increases, including lithium-ion batteries, new energy vehicles, wind power generators, and integrated circuits, with respective growths of 2.6 times, 1.5 times, 38.6%, and 17.8%.
