Grandon News August 4th|Beijing Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at 9:10 AM today: it is expected that from 12:00 PM to 8:00 AM on August 5, most areas will see over 70 mm of rainfall in an hour or over 100 mm in six hours. In particular, the areas of Fangshan, Mentougou, and Shijingshan may see rainfall totals exceeding 150 mm or even 200 mm at isolated points. The risk of geological disasters such as mudflows, landslides, and rockfalls is extremely high in mountainous and hilly regions. Low-lying areas are also prone to flooding. Please take precautions. Currently, the Beijing districts of Fengtai, Fangshan, Mentougou, Shijingshan, and Huairou have been upgraded to a red alert for heavy rain, while Tongzhou and Daxing districts have been issued a yellow alert.
