BMW Group Sets Up China's First IT R&D Center in Nanjing
Viewpoint News: Recently, BMW Brilliance Automotive Limited and Nanjing Jianye District have signed a formal agreement to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary - BMW (Nanjing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. This marks the establishment of one of the six major IT R&D centers globally and China's first and only IT R&D center, as well as the largest IT R&D base in Asia, in Nanjing.
BMW (Nanjing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. will operate independently with legal person status, focusing on AI, industrial digital twin, intelligent manufacturing, and other cutting-edge fields to provide digital solutions for BMW's global production, sales, after-sales, and the entire supply chain. BMW Brilliance Automotive CEO and Chief Executive Officer Dagmar Laufenberg expressed that Nanjing is a hub of IT talent with profound roots, gathering many technology companies, which is the gateway for BMW to enter China's innovation ecosystem.
