Boxma X Member Store Lands Successively Closed, Only One Left to Close on August 31

Phoenix Technology News on August 4th, according to Economic Observer's report, on July 29th, Boxma X member store Beijing World Flower Store posted a notice showing that the store would stop operating two days later on July 31st; On July 31st, the Suzhou Xiangcheng Store and Nanjing Yanzishi Store of Boxma X member stores also stopped operating. Subsequently, only one Boxma X member store in Shanghai Songlan remains nationwide, but media outlets and customer service at the Shanghai Songlan store confirmed that this store would also close on August 31st.

Boxma X member stores are membership-based retail stores under the Boxma Group, which is a warehouse-style member-based business model. They are the first Chinese brand to emulate Costco and Sam's Club, with their first store "Shanghai Pudong Songlan Store" opening in October 2020. As of October 2023, Boxma X member stores have already opened 10 locations across China, spread across Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, etc.

Boxma's member store business model began to "swing" in December 2023. In March 2024, Boxma X member store announced the closure of its Shanghai Renlei Store, and the Beijing JianGuoLu Store closed after only seven months since opening.
