The new national standard aims to promote the development of China's automotive industry by introducing stricter safety standards. One of the key changes is the requirement for all newly approved vehicle models to be equipped with ABS anti-lock braking systems and prohibit the default single-pedal mode, which allows drivers to slow down or stop the vehicle solely by releasing the accelerator pedal.
