Glorion News August 4 | The "Longyou Two" wildfire is still burning inside Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park, with a blaze area reaching 471.8 square kilometers as of 3rd day, containment ratio only at 12%. According to the latest situation report from the US National Wildfire Monitoring Center on 3rd afternoon, this fire has already destroyed over 100 buildings and currently has more than 1,200 firefighters involved in firefighting efforts. Although the fire's spread has slowed down recently, the subsequent weather conditions are unfavorable for extinguishing the fire, making the firefighting task still very arduous. This wildfire was sparked by lightning on July 4th. Initially, it started at a location inside Grand Canyon National Park, near the northern rim of the canyon, known as Longyou. This spot experienced a "Longyou" wildfire in 2022, hence this fire is named as "Longyou Two".
