Car Owners Unite Online to Slam Ideal, Exposing High-Level Executives: Water Army Collects "Black Materials," $5 per Image; Xiaolai: Report to the Police ASAP
Recently, various platforms have witnessed many cases of Ideal car owners violating traffic rules or parking irregularly, sparking heated discussions among netizens.
On August 6th, Ideal's first product line president, Tang Jing, exposed a screenshot of an online water army organizing to smear Ideal on Weibo and said, "Can't I join the group? I have two cars, MEGA and L9, each one. I can post 1,000 messages per day."

The chat screenshot shows that the water army has two tasks: one is to collect various irregular behaviors of Ideal cars, including parking, driving off the road, and not using headlights. The price for an image is $5 per image; for a video, it's $8 (audited, no repeat, AI-generated but needs to be reviewed). The second task is to post malicious comments on Ideal car owners' notes or videos. The price for a comment is $1.5 per comment, and for a comment with an image, it's $2 (needs to screenshot the whole screen, audited, and if it fails the audit more than 10 times, the account will be cancelled).
On August 7th, Ideal's side expressed that they received a large number of feedback from car owners pointing out that there are organized malicious attacks on the internet, attempting to smear Ideal car owners' overall image. In response to these groundless attacks, Ideal immediately took action to protect their vast majority of car owner rights.
"Through a comprehensive investigation, we found that these malicious attacks are backed by a batch of organized accounts and marketing numbers. They use AI-generated content and other technical means to continuously publish false information on various platforms. The frequency of their posts is extremely high, even in the early morning hours, attempting to smear Ideal car owners' image. From the uniformity of the content and the regular release schedule, we can see that these behaviors are not just ordinary public opinion but also involve organized criminal behavior."
Ideal's legal department supplemented on the same day.
On August 7th morning, Xiaolai, a high-level executive at Ideal, denied smearing Ideal:
I am extremely dissatisfied with this kind of behavior that targets a specific car brand and its users without distinction. We at Ideal have cultivated our users' habits of embracing new things and new energy. Our users are willing to adopt new things, including the all-new ES8 and L90 from Xiaolai. We have no motive to create conflict with Ideal's users.
Recently, Ideal has been attacked, and some people have been stirring up trouble by pointing fingers at Xiaolai. If Ideal's users believe this, they will fall right into the attacker's trap. Please, Ideal's users, be vigilant and avoid being exploited.
As I observe recent public opinion, there are direct attacks, water army tactics, borrowing other people's swords, and shifting attention away from the problem. As for how to eliminate these attacks at the industry level, I have no illusions. When confronted with a situation, one must take action. I think Shen Fei's suggestion is excellent: please, Ideal company, truly use legal means to resolve the issue and report to the police ASAP.
