China Coal Transportation Association: Key Coal Enterprises' Inventory Up 51.9% by End-June
Zhitong Caifu APP has learned that on July 29, China's Coal Transportation Association released the operating situation of China's coal market from June to August, with coal inventory at a historical high level. As of the end of June, key coal enterprises had an inventory of 10.2 million tons, roughly flat compared to last month, up 51.9% year-on-year; nationwide power plants had an inventory of 21 million tons, up 5.9% from last month and 3.8% year-on-year; and the inventory at ports around Bohai Bay was 27.65 million tons, down 8.5% from last month but up 2.5% year-on-year. As of late July, key coal enterprises had an inventory that was down 8.7% compared to last month, power plants had an inventory that was up 2.3%, and ports around Bohai Bay had an inventory that was down 5.8%.
