The Ministry's spokesperson, He Yading, said that the essence of China-EU trade relations is complementary advantages and mutual benefits, and that China hopes EU will maintain market openness, pay attention to concerns of Chinese enterprises, and restrain restrictive trade tools to provide a fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises to conduct trade and investment in Europe.

At the same time, China will continue to expand its high-level opening-up, improve the business environment, fully implement the national treatment of foreign-invested companies, strengthen intellectual property protection, and provide good service guarantees for foreign-capital enterprises.
