China's National Data Bureau Chief: China Has 4.55 Million 5G Base Stations, Computational Power Ranks Second Globally
Viewpoint News: On August 14th, Liu Liehong, Party Committee Member of the National Development and Reform Commission and Chief of the National Data Bureau, announced at a press conference held by the State Council's Information Office that China's digital infrastructure has made significant progress during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
As of June 30th, 2025, the total number of 5G base stations reached 4.55 million, with over 226 million broadband users, ranking second globally in terms of computational power, which has effectively driven economic and social development.
