Former Deputy Chief of China's National Medical Products Administration Expelled from Party for Bribery
Grwon Daily, July 30th | According to CCTV, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission Against Corruption (NACC) conducted a serious investigation into the disciplinary and legal issues involving Chen Shifei, former member of the Party Group and deputy chief of China's National Medical Products Administration. The investigation found that Chen had engaged in multiple serious violations, including resisting organizational inspections, accepting gifts and bribes, and engaging in profit-making activities without authorization. He was also accused of utilizing his official powers to benefit others and illegally receiving large amounts of money. After a meeting of the CCDI's Standing Committee and approval from the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, it was decided to expel Chen from the Party; dismiss him from public office; seize his illegal gains; and transfer the relevant criminal cases to the procuratorate for prosecution. The assets involved will also be transferred.
