Fuji Film × Honor of Kings First Showcase at BILIBILI WORLD, Launching Cross-Dimensional Imaging Experience
Shanghai, July 23rd, 2025 / Cision PR Newswire / — From July 11th to July 13th, Fuji Film's digital camera products made their debut at Bilibili World (hereinafter referred to as "BW"), partnering with the renowned mobile game "Honor of Kings" to create a unique imaging world that brings together image and gaming fusion. At the Shanghai National Exhibition Center, visitors experienced an immersive experience.
A hundred-million-level imaging system for a movie-quality portrait shooting site
This exhibition stand introduced Fuji Film's GFX medium-format imaging system, equipped with an octillion-pixel sensor and color reproduction technology, providing high-quality support for visitors. In addition, Fuji Film brought several popular digital camera models, including the retro-style X-E5, the GFX100S II with a medium-format sensor, and the fixed-lens medium-format camera GFX100RF. Visitors can experience the advantages of these cameras in various scenarios, appreciating Fuji Film's advanced imaging technology.
To further enhance professional-level shooting experiences, the exhibition stand introduced a billion-dollar Briese movie-grade lighting system, in collaboration with the GFX medium-format system, allowing for precise control over light and shadow to capture intricate details, skin textures, and emotional expressions. The atmosphere of a professional photography studio was recreated at the exhibition site.
6 popular "Honor of Kings" cosplayers appeared on the Fuji Film stand, serving as visual centers. Each cosplayer presented game characters with high-fidelity rendering, not only serving as visual anchors but also becoming exclusive models in front of the camera lens. Visitors can use Fuji Film's imaging equipment to take their own "King's Portraits".
A gathering of photographers and cosplayers
The Fuji Film stand also became a stage for photographers and cosplayers to "converge". Four lively creators from the 2D and photography circles – CN, 小新, 天地鸿鸥, Liky, and Winys – although from different creative backgrounds, chose Fuji Film's GFX medium-format system to record those moments when game characters were vividly performed.
When asked about their reasons for choosing "GFX", these photographers all mentioned one key word: image quality. The GFX medium-format sensor brought not only an octillion-pixel resolution but also a deep understanding of details, color reproduction, and texture capture. In cosplay photography, this performance was fully demonstrated – intricate costumes, nuanced makeup designs, and dynamic emotions were all preserved due to the medium-format's tolerance and dynamic range. Especially in the face of rapidly changing lighting conditions, the GFX system's reliable autofocus and high-contrast ratio provided a solid guarantee for subsequent adjustments.
REALA ACE (RA) film simulation mode is a "heart's delight" for many photographers. Photographer Winys mentioned that in the complex lighting environment at the exhibition site, RA mode still managed to reproduce natural skin tones while presenting layered and nuanced image effects. For capturing cosplay with both character portrayal and atmospheric creation, this "color equals emotion" feature was especially important.
In terms of lens selection, several photographers tended to use the GF55mmF1.7 R WR and GF110mmF2 R LM WR prime lenses to achieve more ideal portrait perspectives and image purity. The former is suitable for capturing relationships between characters and environments in close-up shots, while the latter can compress backgrounds and emphasize subjects, making it an exhibition-worthy tool.
Even when faced with rapidly changing lighting conditions and sudden model movements, the GFX system's RAW format high-contrast ratio provided ample space for subsequent adjustments. Photographer 天地鸿鸥 mentioned: "In many situations, due to complex environmental conditions, if a model changes direction or adjusts lighting, it may cause underexposure or overexposure. However, with the super-strong contrast ratio of GFX100S II, I can easily retrieve normal exposure in post-processing software." This ability was likened to having a "regret medicine", providing a solid guarantee for creating more beautiful images.
X HALF: Connecting the Real World and 2D
The X HALF, released in 2025, also appeared at BW. This retro-style half-frame camera cleverly combined modern digital technology with classic design, making it particularly suitable for capturing 2D world moments. The exhibition site also provided X HALF as a shooting experience device.
Fuji Film's exhibition stand specially set up a "Honor of Kings" themed photography area, using X HALF's "dual exposure" and "2 in 1" personalized shooting functions to allow players to take photos with game scenes, creating creative combinations of "game elements + real-world scenarios". Visitors can leave their own memories.
Some visitors exclaimed: "Previously, I thought the exhibition was just a temporary setup. This time, it really felt like walking into a mobile photography studio." This is exactly what Fuji Film wants to convey – making images more pure, interesting, and professional, allowing both professional creators and ordinary enthusiasts to experience joy in capturing beautiful moments with cameras.
