Gansu Issues a Yellow Warning for Convective Storms: Weather Alerts Issued for Lanzhou, Baiyin, and Linxia

　　Glon 8/11｜Gansu Provincial Meteorological Station issued a yellow warning for convective storms at 10:51 am today: it is expected that there will be thunderstorms in parts of Gansu Province east of Wuwei, including Lanzhou, Baiyin, and Linxia cities, as well as parts of Wuwei City to the south, Dingxi City to the north, Gannan Prefecture to the northwest, Tianshui City to the south, Qingyang City to the north, Liupanshan District, and Ganmian Mountain District. The affected areas will experience short-term heavy rainfall with a maximum intensity of 15-35 mm, accompanied by gusty winds or hailstones, during the peak time from 12:00 pm on August 11th to 8:00 am on August 12th. To ensure the safety and well-being of tourists and citizens, and prevent secondary disasters such as mudflows, landslides, and debris flows caused by heavy rainfall, Lanzhou's Turpan National Forest Park, Yuzhong Xiyun Village, Yuzhong Laohu · Lang Street, and Yongding Shujia Township will be temporarily closed from 0:00 am on August 11th to 0:00 am on August 12th. Tourists and citizens are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly and refrain from entering closed scenic areas or staying in surrounding dangerous zones.
