GAODE Maps Enters Low-Earth Economy, Launches "Mid-Air GAODE" Solution

Sina Technology News, July 31 morning, news that Gaode Maps and Longgang District of Shenzhen will comprehensively cooperate in low-earth economy, smart driving, intelligent transportation, ride-hailing, instant delivery, and robotics fields, and release a comprehensive low-earth economic demonstration zone - the "Mid-Air GAODE" project.

"Mid-Air GAODE" is a comprehensive solution for urban intelligent transportation launched by Gaode Maps. Its goal is to build a digital foundation covering both ground and low-earth space, gathering multi-party resources including industry platforms, data, and applications, providing smart and integrated services to the public, enterprises, and governments, empowering technological innovation and commercialization in low-earth scenarios, and forming a sustainable operation loop.

According to introduction, Gaode Maps' assistance goes beyond technical platforms - through deep cooperation with upstream and downstream companies, it is building a complete low-earth industrial ecosystem, promoting Shenzhen as the gathering place for low-earth economy industries. Currently, "Mid-Air GAODE" has been landed in Longgang's demonstration zone, with 10-plus low-earth ecological enterprises gathered to jointly conduct technology research and development work.

Gaode Maps Vice President and Gaode Cloud Map General Manager Dong Zhenning said that the formal operation of "Mid-Air GAODE" in Longgang's low-earth economic demonstration zone is a significant milestone. Gaode will use low-earth economy operations as the hub, promoting the formation of new production forces; using platforms to aggregate, empowering industrial ecosystems; and relying on technology to continuously strengthen and optimize the digital foundation for low-earth economy."

Gaode Maps is actively promoting a strategic layout from ground to low-earth space, committed to building "map, navigation, and communication" as an air-based digital infrastructure, driving the coordination development of low-earth economy and land transportation. As early as 2020, in cooperation with Shenzhen's traffic authorities, Shenzhen's taxi industry and Gaode Maps jointly launched a ride-hailing pilot project called "Shenzhen Taxi", which went online and integrated into Gaode Maps' aggregation platform for taxis, making Shenzhen the first city in China to launch a taxi network fusion application pilot.
