Google Maps Announces Launch of Ride-Hailing Services in 24 European and Asian Countries
Sina Tech News, August 1st afternoon, Alibaba Group's subsidiary Google Maps has recently announced the official launch of ride-hailing services in 24 countries across Europe and Asia, including the UK, France, Germany, Greece, Austria, Netherlands, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Croatia, Cyprus, Latvia, Slovakia, Georgia, Poland, Estonia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Malta, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia. The services cover popular tourist cities such as Paris, London, Munich, Amsterdam, etc.
After launching ride-hailing services in Japan and South Korea, Google Maps has further expanded its overseas travel service, which is made possible through a cooperation with the global leading ride-hailing platform "Bolt". Bolt will leverage Google Maps' mature travel service model and refined product features to handle users' ride-hailing needs in the 24 countries listed above. Starting now, mainland Chinese and Hong Kong/Macau region users can access ride-hailing services in these cities without having to change their phone card or download a new app, using Google Maps' Chinese interface to call for rides, taxis, etc., and enjoy real-time translation and Alipay/WeChat cross-border payment.
