Guangdong Launches Mop-Up Action Against Mosquito-Borne Diseases, Epidemic Trend Showing Initial Containment
Glon.com, August 4th|Dr. Kang Min, Director of Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Chief Expert on Infectious Disease Control, pointed out that kynurenine fever is transmitted through mosquito bites, and mosquitoes live in clear water. Therefore, prevention key points are clearing up stagnant water, killing adult mosquitoes, and preventing bites. There is no stagnant water, there will be no mosquito breeding, and there will be no disease transmission. Currently, the epidemic trend in Guangdong Province has shown initial containment, with a downward trend in newly reported cases across the province this week, especially in the core area of Shunde District reporting continuous declines. To quickly block the spread of the disease, Guangdong Province has launched a one-week concentrated mosquito control action starting this week.
