Hua Xia Bank's Financial Course in the Fields
Opening: Folk Language Class in Ancient Village
"Just a few days ago, my grandkids were playing with their phones at home, and I almost got scammed into transferring money. Thanks to the 'Prevention of Scams' you promoted earlier, I realized what was happening and avoided losing money!" "The team did a great job explaining financial concepts in a straightforward way! Now that we know how to recognize scams, we're not afraid to receive fake invoices anymore." The grateful villagers are talking about the "team" from the Hua Xia Bank Wuhan Branch Rural Work Team. In response to the situation of weak financial knowledge and high incidence of telecommunications fraud in rural areas, the Wuhan Branch of Hua Xia Bank innovatively launched a financial education model called "Folk Language Class + Scenario-based Training".

To address the problem of villagers not understanding financial terminology, the team uses folk language to explain complex concepts. For example, "credit reporting" is explained as "good reputation", and "financial planning" is compared to "making money grow". The team also creates localized scenarios using familiar examples such as "selling paddy rice with fake bills" or "posing as a village official collecting fees" to help villagers understand the scams.
To further enhance the liveliness and interest of financial education, the team sets up a "Financial Knowledge Big Wheel" in the village square, featuring interactive games, question-and-answer sessions, and prize draws. In the evening, they screen anti-fraud films and warning educational videos to deepen the impact.
As Hua Xia Bank Wuhan Branch Rural Work Team leader Shu Juanying said: "To effectively promote financial education, we must use folk language to explain concepts that villagers care about." This story is not unique to Hua Xia Bank. The bank has many similar stories of rural work teams using their expertise and professionalism to provide financial education services.
