Is Ideal Group's i8 Losing Ground to L90? High-Level Executive Shen Fei Exposes Industry Competition Behind the Scenes!
Author: BUG column
Last night, Shen Fei, the high-level executive and CEO of Leeco, a subsidiary of Bitauto, suddenly posted a "deep water bomb" on his Weibo account, revealing the industry's behind-the-scenes competition.
Shen Fei shared a screenshot that allegedly showed an Ideal sales representative advising a customer to return their L90 and choose the i8 instead. The image shows the sales representative saying, "It's very cost-effective, many L90 customers have returned, and at the end, they chose our I8. You can discuss it with your husband again."
Netizens left comments under Shen Fei's post, saying, "You're not just a sales team, but also an unknown quantity." Shen Fei responded with anger, saying, "I'm not someone who can't bear to fight. If it were just one or two people, I wouldn't care, but this is all of them. It's really too much."
As the situation escalated, both Ideal and Leeco remained silent.
Leeco and Ideal are at war!
Ideal i8 and Leeco L90, two "sharp kids" in the new energy field, collided on July 24th, sparking a series of online battles.
Recently, Ideal's first pure electric large SUV, i8, officially launched, followed by Leeco's L90, a large electric SUV. Both models are positioned similarly, with similar prices, configurations, and charging systems, but there is no shortage of comparisons between them.
On July 24th, Ideal's vice president (VP) Liu Jie shared a screenshot, saying, "Is this the main direction for black water army to smear i8?" From the screenshot, it can be seen that a user commented, "I tried driving i8 and L90 yesterday. The i8 is like sitting in a boat, shaking back and forth, completely without L90's stability, as if I'm going to crash on the road." Liu Jie clarified that i8 has not yet begun user testing.
As the situation escalated, Leeco's high-level executive Shen Fei forwarded Liu Jie's Weibo post and said, "Suggest reporting it to the authorities."
