Japanese Cases of Attacks on Chinese Citizens, Embassy Warns of Safety Concerns
格隆汇8月18日|The Chinese Embassy in Japan has once again reminded Chinese tourists and expatriates in Japan to exercise caution, citing an increasing trend of social unrest incidents in Japan. In recent cases, Chinese citizens have been attacked in multiple locations. Moreover, there has been a surge in telecommunications fraud targeting overseas students, interns, and other groups, with some Chinese students being victims of fake kidnapping scams resulting in losses of hundreds of thousands of Japanese yen.
The Embassy pointed out that recent cases of attacks on Chinese citizens have increased significantly, prompting the Embassy to lodge a stern protest with Japan's Foreign Ministry, urging Japan to take concrete measures to protect the safety and legal rights of Chinese citizens in Japan.
