Lei Wei's Xiaomi YU7 Volcano Orange: He Will Provide Feedback on His Deep Experience

Phoenix News Tech, July 31. Xiaomi Group partner and President Lei Wei announced yesterday that he has taken delivery of his Xiaomi YU7, which is the volcano orange color. At the same time, he posted a photo taken with his new car using Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Then, Lei Jun forwarded this dynamic and sent a congratulatory message for his new car. Lei Wei also responded in a timely manner, indicating that he will provide feedback on his deep experience with the Xiaomi YU7.

According to sources, the volcano orange color is one of the four color options for Xiaomi YU7, which adopts a two-layer coating technology. Compared with traditional single-layer paint, this technology makes the volcano orange color present different color states under different light sources.

In low-light environments, the volcano orange gives a high-saturation orange visual effect due to its first layer of pure red and orange pigments, with a thickness of approximately 10 microns. Under bright light conditions, the second layer of metallic particles is fully composed of semi-transparent effects with a thickness of only 6 microns, presenting a sparkling effect like stars in the night sky.

In terms of raw materials, the volcano orange color uses azo-based organic orange pigments. This type of pigment has a specific surface area of up to 80 m?/g, which means that 1 g of paint can cover half a standard volleyball court.

It's worth noting that this volcano orange color was previously used for SU7, but it has been removed from the updated purchase benefits of Xiaomi cars in August. Currently, only the Xiaomi YU7 can be purchased with the volcano orange color.
