Love Health Releases Statement: "Don't Expect to Find Out What's Wrong with You for a Few Hundred Yuan" is Misleading! Media Reportage Malpractice or Legal Action May Follow
On the evening of July 30, Love Health Group released a statement entitled “Regarding the Misleading Reports by Some Media: 'Don't Expect to Find Out What's Wrong with You for a Few Hundred Yuan' is Misleading!,” claiming that during today's media communication meeting, Love Health Group CEO Zhang Liheng discussed the boundaries of health check-ups and medical treatment. He pointed out that most health check-up projects are fixed packages chosen by units, with prices ranging from several hundred yuan to several thousand yuan. For medical treatment, however, it is a targeted diagnosis and subsequent treatment performed by specialized doctors, often requiring fees of several thousand yuan to tens of thousands of yuan or more.
However, the above statements were taken out of context and misleadingly reported by some media outlets, with headlines such as “Love Health CEO: Don't Expect to Find Out What's Wrong with You for a Few Hundred Yuan,” which was then spread online.
Love Health Group pointed out that the above reportage is malicious and takes things out of context. Love Health Group will never compromise on its professionalism due to the low cost of health check-up packages.
Below is the full text of the statement:
1. The above reportage by some media outlets belongs to malicious distortion, taking things out of context.
Love Health Group CEO Zhang Liheng explained during the media briefing that the key difference between health check-ups and medical treatment lies in their purposes. Health check-ups are aimed at disease prevention and detecting potential risks, while medical treatment seeks to confirm diagnoses and provide subsequent treatment.
Zhang Liheng stated: “If we were to conduct health check-ups according to the model of medical treatment, it would take a few days to complete, which is not feasible for the current payment system. This model is also impossible to implement because it would be too expensive, leading no one to pay for such checks again. Therefore, the mode of health check-ups is to identify various problems and provide risk warnings, after which individuals can seek specialized medical consultations for final diagnoses.” It is evident that there is a significant difference between health check-ups and medical treatment.
The Chinese Medical Association's Health Management Division has clearly defined the scope of health check-ups. However, the public remains unclear about the boundaries of health check-ups and medical treatment.
Some media outlets took the above explanations of health check-ups and medical treatment out of context, intending to educate consumers and promote professional guidance, but maliciously simplified it into “Don't Expect to Find Out What's Wrong with You for a Few Hundred Yuan,” completely removing the context and distorting the speaker's intention, transmitting negative messages about the value of health check-ups.
2. Love Health Group will never compromise on its professionalism due to the low cost of health check-up packages.
Love Health Group has always upheld the principle of putting customers first, dedicating itself to providing professional and rigorous health management services. Regardless of the price of health check-up packages, Love Health Group will continue to provide the most professional services.
The topic of malicious reportage taken out of context does not meet the standards of comprehensive reporting, infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of Love Health Group. Love Health Group reserves the right to pursue legal action against media outlets engaging in such behavior.
