Meituan Grants Support Fund to Small and Medium-Sized Merchants, Up to 50,000 CNY
China Phoenix Technology News August 5, Meituan announced that it will officially launch its small and medium-sized merchant development support program today, providing support funds to more food and beverage shops, helping them achieve stable growth. In the face of intensified competition in the catering industry, the plan will further increase cash injections and subsidies to focus on supporting long-term operating, high-repurchase, and reputation-conscious small and medium-sized catering merchants. By the end of this year, Meituan's support fund is expected to cover over 100,000 food and beverage shops, with a maximum support amount of up to 50,000 CNY per shop.
In addition, it will continue to expand the coverage range and number of stores for its "Exclusive Offers" series products, guiding users to in-store consumption and driving offline dining. Meanwhile, it will continue to optimize marketing tools, reducing displays of low-price/discount price and promotional/lucky draw labels, encouraging catering enterprises to rely on quality to achieve a healthy competitive environment.
It's worth noting that Meituan has recently launched an AI management tool, providing functions such as shop location selection, menu development, smart decoration, intelligent customer service, and store operation analysis and optimization. The plan is to make the tool available for free to all merchants in the industry.
