National Cybersecurity Administration Convenes with Nvidia

July 31, according to "Cyber China", recently, Nvidia's computing power chip was exposed to have serious security issues. Prior to this, US lawmakers called for advanced chips exported from the US to be equipped with a "tracking and positioning" function. Experts in the US artificial intelligence field revealed that Nvidia's computing power chip has matured "tracking and positioning" and "remote shutdown" technologies. To protect China's user network security and data security, based on relevant regulations of the "Network Security Law", "Data Security Law", and "Personal Information Protection Law", the National Internet Information Office convened with Nvidia Company on July 31, 2025, requiring Nvidia to explain and submit related proof materials regarding the security risks of backdoors in their H20 computing power chips sold to China.
