National Internet Information Office Consults with NVIDIA over H20 Algorithm Chip Backdoor Security Risks
Glorion Hub July 31st | Recently, NVIDIA's algorithm chip was exposed to have a severe security issue. Prior to this, US lawmakers urged that advanced chips exported from the US must be equipped with "tracking positioning" functionality. AI experts in the field revealed that NVIDIA's algorithm chip has matured in "tracking positioning" and "remote closure" technology. To safeguard China's user network security, data security, and personal information, based on the relevant provisions of the Network Security Law, Data Security Law, and P personal Information Protection Law, the National Internet Information Office consulted with NVIDIA on July 31st, 2025, requiring NVIDIA to explain and submit relevant proof materials regarding the backdoor security risks of H20 algorithm chips sold to China.
