National Standard for Childcare Subsidies May Be Higher Than Local Standards, Assessment and Recordation Required
Glon Group July 30th | The State Council News Office held a press conference today at 2pm to introduce childcare subsidies and reproductive support measures. Prior to this, some localities have explored implementing their own childcare subsidy policies, with some standards even higher than the national standard. How do local policies connect with national policies? Can localities with higher standards still issue subsidies? On this question, Vice Minister of Health and Family Planning Commission Guo Yanhong explained that for childcare subsidy policies already implemented by various regions, local governments must develop specific policy connection plans to ensure seamless coordination between their own policies and the national system. In this process, they must genuinely protect citizens' personal interests. Localities with subsidy standards higher than the national standard can continue to issue subsidies after completing the required assessment and recordation work.
