On July 30th, 2025 at 7:24 am (Beijing time), an 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck the eastern coast of Kamchatka, Russia (52.53°N,160.16°E) with a focal depth of 20 km (parameters revised). Based on the latest monitoring and analysis results, this earthquake has triggered a tsunami and is expected to have hazardous impacts on coastal regions of China, including Shanghai, Zhoushan, Taipei, Penghu, and other areas.
