July 29th, Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was officially established in Chongqing, becoming the third domestic central enterprise and the first to have its headquarters in Chongqing. At the media communication meeting held on the second day, Changan Automobile Group Chairman Zhu Huaiying expressed his gratitude, saying, “The new Changan faces a vast expanse of opportunities, and I see it full of possibilities.”

As a bridgehead for Changan's transformation into a new energy company, Deep Blue also offers a big gift. “We joke that we're preparing a gift for Changan's establishment from August 1st onwards. Every half-month will see the release of a new product, and Deep Blue will enter a new product cycle,” said Deep Blue CEO Deng Chenghao. “The Changan team is determined to run faster, and this is our survival treasure.”

On August 1st, the first new car model, “New Central Enterprise, New Deep Blue”, debuted with the global ultra-long-range version of Deep Blue S05, including three models: 620Plus pure electric edition, 620Max pure electric edition, and 620Ultra pure electric edition. The price range is 12.99 million to 14.99 million yuan. The new car not only has a 620km ultra-long pure electric driving range but also comes with a full suite of 3C fast charging capabilities.

Since its launch in October 2024, Deep Blue S05 has achieved rapid success, driven by the growth of new energy vehicles and the demand for pure electric driving ranges. Data shows that by the end of the first half of this year, Deep Blue S05 had delivered over 41,000 units, accounting for more than 30% of Deep Blue's total sales.

As new energy vehicles and battery technology continue to evolve, consumers are increasingly demanding longer pure electric driving ranges. The launch of the global ultra-long-range version of Deep Blue S05 is a perfect reflection of this demand.

According to the introduction, the global ultra-long-range version of Deep Blue S05 has a driving range of 620 kilometers, combined with 3C fast charging capabilities that can achieve 30% to 80% charging in just 15 minutes. The battery heating technology uses high-frequency pulse heating, which can increase the temperature by 20 degrees Celsius in -30°C low-temperature environments, improving power performance by 50%, and charging efficiency by 15%.

In terms of intelligence, the new car features a DEEPAL billion-pixel intelligent light display, DEEPAL 4K intelligent cloud camera, and a DeepSeek R1 large model emotional cabin, as well as continuous updates to Deep Blue's driving assistance system DEEPAL AD PRO.

In terms of safety, the global ultra-long-range version of Deep Blue S05 uses 78% high-strength steel and aluminum composite materials for its body, applying a combination of big-pressure casting and integral aluminum body technology, as well as CTV battery integration technology to create a high-strength and safe vehicle.

In addition, the new car features a wide and dynamic body design, with a starry wings exterior and a ring-shaped design that wraps around the intelligent cabin, showcasing a sense of athleticism and technological romance; its wheelbase is 2880mm, and it has a combination of 159L + 492L front and rear luggage compartments, allowing for easy movement and flexibility.

Focusing on the current market, the 15 million yuan SUV market is highly competitive, with only products that truly meet consumer needs able to stand out. The launch of Deep Blue S05's global ultra-long-range version not only meets users' expectations for long driving ranges, vehicle safety, and comfortable driving but also integrates trendy design and interactive features, fully meeting the demands of new-generation car buyers.

As of June this year, Deep Blue S05 has landed in 35 countries around the world, including Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. By the end of the second half of the year, it will continue to expand globally to over 100 countries. For Deep Blue Automobile, the launch of the global ultra-long-range version of S05 is just the beginning. According to Deep Blue's chief product officer, Han Tingting, in the second half of the year, we can expect Deep Blue to contribute to Changan's sales and launch a series of products, including an upgraded L07 model in mid-August, an S09 extended-range version by the end of August, and a new S07 upgrade in September.
