North China Retail Giant Biyt and RELEX Reach Cooperation, Enhance Supply Chain Efficiency
Shanghai, July 21, 2025 / Xinhua News Agency / -- North China retail giant Biyt has reached a cooperation with global leading supply chain and retail planning solution provider RELEX Solutions. RELEX will provide Biyt with a full-chain supply chain planning system, including demand prediction and replenishment planning, fresh optimization, covering over 100 Biyt stores, 7 distribution centers, and 25,000 SKUs, optimizing the management of all product categories, including fresh products, and exploring domestic retail supply chain high-efficiency management modes.
Biyt's roots in Heihe to over 10 billion yuan in sales
Biyt was founded in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province in 1996. After nearly 30 years of development, Biyt now has over 100 stores across Heihe, Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun, and other cities.
According to the China Retail Association's 2024 Top 100 Retailers list, Biyt ranked 22nd. In 2024, Biyt's sales revenue exceeded 74 billion yuan, and it is expected to achieve a hundred stores and a hundred billion yuan in sales by 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 22.6%. As a comparison, only 38.2% of retailers saw an increase in total sales volume compared to the previous year.
Biyt's resilience comes from its clear retail development strategy. Biyt Chairman Meng Fanzhong has said publicly that the core advantage of a chain store is efficiency and cost leadership. The goal of doing business is to achieve regionalization, and regionalization is meant to increase efficiency." True" chain stores are all about centralized warehousing, and Biyt innovatively adopts daily supply and disassembly modes to fully leverage its scale advantages and improve logistics efficiency.
In the process of promoting supply chain innovation, Biyt realizes that if it wants to achieve further development, it must build a more intelligent supply chain system. It should be able to accurately predict demand, coordinate with all departments, and optimize procurement. In the international retail industry, building high-efficiency supply chains has become an industry consensus, and global retail giants have been continually refining their skills in this area. However, domestic companies that truly understand this and can implement precise management are rare, let alone those that make bold reforms. Biyt dares to think and innovate, combining its own practices with theoretical exploration, and leads the way in China's retail industry.
Conceptual depth matches, RELEX supply chain planning system helps Biyt's future growth
Based on reform experiences, Biyt actively explores the core capabilities of "true" chain stores, constantly seeking to break through operational logic and improve supply chain efficiency. This aligns with RELEX's advocacy for demand-driven, integrated supply chains. Through a consistent supply chain plan, we can synchronize business departments and align demand. With inter-functional coordination, we can achieve high-efficiency business goals. This is also the key to this cooperation.
This cooperation will cover all product categories, including fresh products, with RELEX providing Biyt with a full-chain supply chain planning system. By leveraging RELEX's solutions, Biyt will be able to accurately predict daily store demand and generate specific replenishment plans based on each store's inventory situation, guiding logistics to restock accordingly. At the same time, it will transform dispersed decision-making systems into centralized ones, turning passive responses to supply chain exceptions into proactive planning systems. It will resolve problems before they occur, comprehensively improving inventory turnover efficiency, reducing shortages and fresh product losses, and ultimately optimizing operational costs.
Additionally, this cooperation has also received full support from Times Group. Previously, Times Group helped Biyt optimize logistics, and in this latest collaboration, the two will continue to work together on planning. Times Group and RELEX will integrate resources and capabilities, working together to drive Biyt's supply chain efficiency upgrade.
Biyt Chairman Meng Fanzhong said: "Biyt has developed to where it is today by adhering to three strategic values: one-stop shopping for family daily necessities; pursuing extreme value-for-money; and pursuing customer trust. These three points are all extremely dependent on the efficiency, resilience, and flexibility of the supply chain. Biyt's future development needs the help of professionals like RELEX. I am full of expectations for this cooperation!"
RELEX Solutions co-founder Michael Falck said: "This cooperation with Biyt is a key milestone in our efforts to deepen our understanding of China's retail market. In this cooperation, we have gained a deeper understanding of the operational logic of local retailers. The team at Biyt is committed to data-driven and lean operations, which aligns perfectly with RELEX's philosophy. We will fully leverage our global supply chain optimization experience and combine it with Biyt's localized operating wisdom to support Biyt's development strategy."
This deep cooperation between Biyt and RELEX not only marks a key step forward for domestic retailers in refining their supply chain management, but also sets a high standard for the domestic retail industry. By fusing global cutting-edge AI technology with local depth operational experience, both parties will work together to polish more resilient, sensitive, and efficient supply chain solutions. This not only supports Biyt's "hundred stores and a hundred billion" strategic goals, but also injects strong momentum into China's overall retail supply chain upgrading.
