NVIDIA's H20 Computing Chip Exposed to Serious Security Issues, Official Response Pending
According to China's Cyberspace Administration, NVIDIA's computing chip has been exposed to severe security issues. Previously, US lawmakers urged that advanced chips exported from the US must be equipped with "tracking and positioning" features. AI experts revealed that NVIDIA's computing chip has matured in terms of "tracking and positioning" and "remote shutdown" technologies.
To ensure China's user network security, data security, and personal information protection, the National Internet Information Office held a meeting with NVIDIA on July 31, 2025, requiring the company to explain and provide relevant proof materials regarding the backdoor security risks of H20 computing chips sold in China, based on relevant regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and Personal Information Protection Law.
Regarding this matter, Sina Technology requested a response from NVIDIA's side, but no response was received.
