Report: Europe Remains a Crucial Region for Chinese Game Exports
Recently, the Committee on Game Publishing and the Expert Committee on the Game Industry released the "Chinese Game Industry Report."
The report shows that in the first half of 2025, China's game market actual sales revenue reached RMB 1680 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 14.08%, setting a new record high.
At the same time, the number of game users approached 679 million, with a year-on-year growth of 0.72%, also setting a new record high.
In the first half of 2025, domestic sales revenue for self-developed games in China reached RMB 1404.52 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 19.25%. Overseas sales revenue for self-developed games reached USD 95.01 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 11.07%.
In the first half of 2025, self-developed mobile game overseas sales revenue distribution by region shows that the United States accounted for 31.96%, Japan accounted for 16.20%, South Korea accounted for 7.47%, and remained the main overseas target market, accounting for a total of 55.63%. Additionally, Germany, the UK, and France accounted for a combined 8.78%, with Europe still being a crucial region for Chinese game exports.
