Shenzhen: By 2026, Invest in Shahuangtan Airport to Enhance eVTOL and Vertical Takeoff Aircraft Service Capabilities

　Glorion News July 31st｜The Planning Department of Shenzhen City has formulated a high-quality construction plan for low-altitude infrastructure (2024-2026) for the city, which includes implementing the "General Airport Layout Plan of Guangdong Province (2020-2035)". By the end of 2026, we will put into use Shahuangtan Airport, complete the relocation of Nan Tao Helipport, and enhance the service capabilities of helicopters and eVTOLs and other vertical takeoff aircraft. In line with the development trends of new general aviation aircraft, we plan to build a Shantou General Airport, striving to stabilize the site by the end of 2026, complementing the advantages of Shahuangtan Airport, and solidifying the foundation for research and manufacturing, as well as full-scenario applications in the low-altitude field.
