Smarter Everythings 2nd Quarter Report: Robotaxi Vehicle Fleet Exceeds 500 Units, Revenue Reaches $215 Million, Up 75.9%
August 12, Smarter Everythings (NASDAQ: PONY), a leading autonomous driving company, released its unaudited 2025 second-quarter financial report, with impressive performance and robotaxi commercialization accelerating. The company's robotaxi vehicle fleet has exceeded 500 units, with an expected year-end total of over 1,000 units; revenue reached ¥1.54 billion (approximately $215 million), up 75.9% year-over-year and 53.5% quarter-over-quarter, with passenger fare income increasing more than threefold.
Smarter Everythings is accelerating the commercialization and mass production of its robotaxi business, with robotaxi revenue increasing more than twofold in the second quarter, driving the company's overall revenue growth. Founder and CEO Peng Jun expressed confidence that the company will achieve its 1,000 robotaxi target by year-end. The company has launched the seventh-generation robotaxi mass production since June, with a production capacity of over 200 units per month.
Smarter Everythings' second-quarter robotaxi revenue reached ¥10.9 million (approximately $1.5 million), up 157.8% year-over-year, with passenger fare income increasing more than threefold. The growth was driven by expanded user coverage, increased demand in first-tier cities, and the growing scale of robotaxi operations.
The company's CFO, Wang Haojun, noted that the strong revenue growth proves the scalability and profitability of the business model, with optimized "personnel-vehicle" remote operation ratios, reduced vehicle insurance costs, and significant improvements in unit economic models (UE).
Smarter Everythings' continuous focus on robotaxi mass production has yielded early results. Multiple seventh-generation robotaxi models have successfully passed stringent smart connected car testing standards and requirements in multiple cities, obtaining L4-level autonomous driving test permits in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
During the recently concluded 2025 Shanghai World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Smarter Everythings provided attendees with a genuine, usable, and seamless robotaxi experience, further verifying the maturity and leading-edge technology of its L4-level autonomous driving system. The company is the only one to have broken away from fixed routes and opened up full-scale robotaxi services in multiple cities.
Founder and CTO Lou Tiancheng believes that this leading position is backed by Smarter Everythings' mature "full-scale autonomous driving" and "mass production" capabilities, stating, "We not only aim to achieve the 1,000-unit digital target but also lay the foundation for explosive growth in the robotaxi industry - including rigorous engineering practices, reliable and stable autonomous driving software algorithms, and powerful technology generalization enabled by PonyWorld's global model."
Smarter Everythings is continuing to push forward with globalization strategies in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. In the Middle East, the company has partnered with Dubai Road Traffic Management for a strategic cooperation, aiming to launch its first batch of robotaxi road tests in 2025 and achieve full-scale commercial operation by 2026. In Europe, Smarter Everythings launched testing in Luxembourg's Leningen City (Lenningen) in June and plans to expand to more regions. In Asia, the company has obtained a national-level autonomous driving test permit from South Korea, with testing expanded to 7x24 hours since April.
