Tencent's "War of the Golden Whip" HarmonyOS 9 to Launch in September, Expected to be Official Server Version

Tech news from Phoenix Network on August 5th. Tencent's "War of the Golden Whip" HarmonyOS 9 version is now available for download on Huawei's AppGallery Pre-release area, and the game has officially opened for a million-player beta test as of 12:00, with a testing period from August 5, 2025 to September 3, 2025.

According to the display on Huawei's HarmonyOS 5 system version game center, Tencent's "War of the Golden Whip" HarmonyOS 9 version is expected to launch in September 2025 and is predicted to be the official server version. Currently, reservations have reached 160,000.

As introduced, "War of the Golden Whip" is an authorized automatic battle game based on League of Legends: Wild Rift. In the game, each match involves eight players competing against each other in a one-on-one duel, where players recruit mercenaries, merge heroes, enhance combat power, and become the ultimate winner by setting up their lineup.
