Tesla Officially Unveils! 6-Seater New Car Models, Starting Price 33.9 Million Yuan!
Tesla's new car models are officially unveiled.
On August 19th, Tesla's Chinese website launched the Model Y L car model, with a starting price of 33.9 million yuan, expected delivery time in September 2025, and configuration as a long-wheelbase six-seater layout.
Prior to this, Tesla had announced in July that the new Model Y L car model would be released in the "Golden Autumn" of this year. Yesterday evening, Tesla's official WeChat account posted a message saying that the Model Y L is about to make its debut.
According to the financial report, Tesla achieved revenue of $224.96 billion in the second quarter, down 12% year-on-year; net profit was $11.72 billion, down 20.7% year-on-year. Gross margin was 17.2%, down from 18% last year.
In terms of sales, Tesla delivered a total of 38.4 million vehicles in the second quarter, down 13% year-on-year. Among them, Model Y and Model 3 sales were down 12% year-on-year, while high-end models such as Cybertruck saw a whopping 52% drop in sales.
In the first quarter, Tesla produced 36.26 million electric vehicles, lower than last year's 43.3 million; delivered a total of 33.67 million, lower than last year's 38.6 million.
