August 11th, Tesla's global vice president Tao Lin posted on Weibo stating that Tesla takes each recycled battery seriously and utilizes them all, extracting 90% of the waste to feed into new battery production. In 2024, Tesla successfully recycled enough materials to manufacture approximately 21,000 units of Model Y rear-wheel drive electric vehicles.
Tao Lin stated that from production manufacturing to daily use and recycling, Tesla sets high standards for each stage of its products, striving to be more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
