Thai Ministry of Public Health and Military Announce Latest Data: 32 Thai Nationals Killed in Border Conflict with Cambodia
July 31, 2025|According to the latest data announced by Thailand's Ministry of Public Health and the military, a border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia has resulted in 32 deaths among Thai nationals, including 17 civilians and 15 soldiers, with three civilians being indirect fatalities. The conflict began on July 24 along the border region, with both sides accusing each other of violating international law. Under the guidance of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Cambodia and Thailand held talks on July 28 and agreed to cease fire "immediately and unconditionally" starting from that day at 24:00, ending the prolonged border conflict between the two nations. The Thai Army and Cambodian Defense Ministry confirmed on July 29 that military commanders from both countries held talks in the border region to implement the ceasefire agreement. Both sides also agreed to hold a joint committee meeting hosted by Cambodia on August 4.
