Trump's Tariff Policies Are Disrupting India's Market Psychology: Any Market Downturn Will Be a "Buying Opportunity"
Known as the "father of emerging markets" billionaire investor Marc Faber stated that Trump's tariff policies are already having a psychological impact on the Indian market, but any market downturn would be a "buying opportunity".
"Of course, this trade war with the US will have an impact," Faber said in an interview.
"I think this situation will be over soon."
Faber expressed concern about India's series of initial public offerings (IPOs) removing liquidity from the secondary market, and believes that this situation will continue for a while.
Faber said that further interest rate cuts by Indian banks would be "beneficial" for the market; the Indian central bank is set to hold a meeting on Wednesday. Japan also has investment opportunities. He also stated, "China's stock market has performed well recently, but I think once we see more clear information, there will be enough time to get in."
