U.S. House of Representatives Amends Bill Prohibiting Taiwan's Inclusion in China Map, Chinese Embassy: Resolutely Opposes and Strongly Condemns
Glon.com July 30 | The Chinese Embassy held a regular press conference. A reporter asked: Recently, the U.S. House of Representatives passed an amendment regarding Taiwan, prohibiting the U.S. Department of Defense from displaying maps that include Taiwan as part of China. What comments do you have on this?
Spokesperson Chen Bin-hua stated that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an integral and indivisible part of China's territory. This is not only a factual reality but also a universal consensus among international societies. The U.S. Congress bill and certain lawmakers' remarks are a challenge to the principle of one China, which is an affront to the national feelings of over 1.4 billion Chinese people. We resolutely oppose this and strongly condemn it.
