vivo Vision Explore Edition Released: 398g, Lightest MR Head-Mounted Display in the World
August 21st, vivo released its first-ever mixed reality head-mounted display, vivo Vision Explore Edition. According to official introduction, the target of vivo Vision Explore Edition was set from the beginning to cater to users' daily usage, which means the hardware had to adopt a lightweight design.
Compared with industry-average products weighing around 600-700g, vivo Vision Explore Edition weighs only 398g, making it the lightest MR head-mounted display in the world. Its dimensions of 83mm high and 40mm thick also reduce by 26% compared to industry averages. On the OS side, vivo created a "natural eye-hand interaction" system, where operations shift from touching the screen to "eye-catching, hand-moving", with 1.5° high-precision eye tracking, 26 degrees of freedom in finger gesture recognition, and vertical 175-degree recognition range, allowing users to control vivo Vision.
The hardware features a Micro-OLED screen scheme, with a resolution of dual-eye 8K. It is powered by Qualcomm's second-generation Snapdragon XR2+ platform, and its content ecosystem covers fields such as audio, games, and office applications. From August 22nd onwards, vivo Vision Explore Edition will officially open for experience, covering Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing, Chengdu, Kunming, and Jinan.
