Alibaba's Gaode Maps and Tengyi Thousand Questions Lab Unveil AI Travel Intelligent Body Supporting Voice, Text Multi-Modal Interactions
Phoenix Net Technology News August 12, Alibaba-backed Gaode Maps and Tengyi Thousand Questions Lab announced a deep cooperation outcome, which landed in the 2025 version of Gaode Maps, unveiling the world's first AI-born travel intelligent body.
This intelligent body supports voice, text multi-modal interactions. Its voice system was jointly developed by both parties, covering wake-up, recognition, understanding, and broadcasting throughout the entire process. The system integrates Gaode's navigation-specific ASR model, general-purpose ASR, and comprehensive understanding model, covering navigation, local life, and daily dialogue scenarios.
The core technology relies on Tengyi Thousand Questions Lab's large model foundation. Qwen3 pre-trained data volume reaches approximately 360 million tokens, providing professional abilities such as spatial perception, behavior cognition, and scenario understanding for the intelligent body. According to reports, Qwen series has been downloaded over 4 billion times on Hugging Face platforms, with derived models exceeding 140,000.
In terms of architecture, both parties developed POI inference intelligent bodies based on Gaode's DeepResearch framework. This enables the body to analyze temporal and spatial requirements, multiple constraint conditions, and autonomously call map APIs, real-time weather, and traffic data tools, achieving complex tasks such as multi-POI route planning and real-time recommendation.
This cooperation highlights the fusion path of "model + scenario": Tengyi Thousand Questions Lab provides large model foundation capabilities, while Gaode contributes spatial scene data and tool ecosystems. This mode not only upgrades Gaode to "understanding the world" but also provides a landing channel for Tengyi's large models in C-end scenarios or new paradigms for AI technology cross-border applications.
