Ant Group: Whale Explorer Opens Online Exhibition and Sales of Digital Art
Sina Technology News, August 4th afternoon, Whale Explorer, a digital asset platform under Ant Group, officially launched the "Online Exhibition of Digital Art", which differs from traditional digital assets' B2C issuance model. After completing the platform's review and copyright declaration, individual artists can showcase and sell their artworks online. Each work has a unique blockchain identifier, allowing it to be permanently preserved. The main prices of digital art are only 8-28 yuan, with a similar small-scale "tip" mechanism supporting one's favorite artist. Currently, well-known painter Dai Dunbang and excellent graduates from the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts have become the first batch of Whale Explorer individual creators. Within three hours of the exhibition going online, over 4,088 digital creative works were pre-ordered by netizens.
According to introduction, Whale Explorer's digital art exhibition will employ a "pre-sale + public sale" mode, adjusting the release schedule and prices based on market feedback during the pre-sale period. This will further refine and open up the public sale. The platform aims to allow more artists to be recognized and receive user suggestions and market feedback, forming a positive cycle of "creation - recognition - revenue - re-creation".
A responsible person for Whale Explorer creators stated that in the next year, the platform will invest heavily in promoting both "digital art exhibitions" and creator personal stores, helping to attract and operate fans. Additionally, the platform will establish a digital artist ecosystem, fostering collisions between different artistic ideas and driving the development of cultural arts industries through online and offline integration.
