NO.1 Beijing Releases "Ten Rules for Humanoid Intelligent Robots"
From August 8th to 12th, the 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC 2025) was held in Beijing. On August 9th, at the conference's "Industrial Development" main forum, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone released its plan for a humanoid intelligent social experiment, along with supporting policies for promoting innovative development of humanoid robots. This special policy focuses on key areas such as collaborative R&D between hardware and software, data-driven innovation, scenario-based promotion, and nurturing new industries. By implementing these 8 support measures nationwide, China will accelerate the development of its robot industry and take a lead in the global robotics sector.
Comment: From technology-oriented to demand-oriented, from conceptual validation to commercial landing, the robotics industry is undergoing a crucial turning point. Those companies that can find and deeply understand real-world scenarios will emerge victorious in the next round of competition.
NO.2 Huawei to Unveil Breakthrough AI Inference Results
Huawei will unveil its breakthrough AI inference results on August 12th at the "2025 Financial AI Inference Application Landing and Development Forum". According to reports, this achievement may reduce China's dependence on HBM (high-bandwidth memory) technology for AI inference, improve domestic AI model inference performance, and perfect China's AI inference ecosystem.
Comment: If the results are implemented, it will bring double benefits: one is to enhance autonomous control capabilities, reduce key node dependencies, and ensure AI infrastructure security; two is to activate inference performance and application ecosystems, helping domestic large models improve efficiency for financial and high-real-time applications, paving the way for industries to land.
NO.3 OpenAI Officially Releases GPT-5; Sam Altman: GPT-8 May Be Used to Treat Cancer
On August 7th, Eastern Time, OpenAI officially released GPT-5. After the new model's release, OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman stated in an interview that compared to GPT-4, GPT-5 not only answers various difficult questions but also enables real-time software development, which will fundamentally change people's work, learning, and innovation ways.
Notably, during the interview, Altman emphasized that GPT-5 has significantly improved its ability in health recommendations, with more accurate answers, fewer hallucinations, and a higher possibility of revealing true causes and treatment measures. Altman also stated that by 2035, people will be able to use these tools to treat or at least effectively manage many diseases currently plaguing humanity. In Altman's view, in the GPT-8 era, humans may utilize this AI tool to treat certain types of cancer.
Comment: This vision, if realized, will fundamentally reconstruct the paradigm of scientific discovery and medical research, elevating AI from an auxiliary tool to a "virtual chief scientist". However, its feasibility still faces real challenges: ultra-high reliability requirements, complex ethical oversight, and scientific validation systems.
