BYD's Autonomous Driving Vehicles Reach 228,215 Units in July
Xinhua Tech - August 13, BYD Auto announced that its autonomous driving vehicles reached a record high of 228,215 units in July, with daily autonomous driving data exceeding 72 million kilometers. Among them, the domestic market accounted for as high as 87%.
According to the data, BYD's overall sales in July reached 344,296 units, with passenger vehicle sales reaching 341,030 units. Breaking it down further, pure electric passenger vehicles sold 177,887 units, a year-on-year increase of 36.86%; plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles sold 163,143 units. Specifically, Wang Zhuan + Ocean Net sold 315,136 units, Fangaio sold 14,180 units, Tengxun sold 11,375 units, and Angang sold 339 units. Among these sales vehicles, autonomous driving vehicles accounted for a significant proportion.
In addition, BYD also announced the latest data on its Tian Shen Yi (God's Eye) model, which has surpassed 1.2 million units in cumulative sales. As of July 7th, BYD Group's brand and public relations department general manager had publicly revealed that the God's Eye intelligent driving vehicle had already exceeded 100,000 units in possession. In just over a month's time, the Tian Shen Yi model has achieved a growth of 200,000 units.
