August 18th, some netizens reported on social media that BYD (002594) has sued CEO Chang Yao of Tanke for intellectual property infringement, accompanied by a notice issued by the Beijing Internet Court.
It was learned that in July, there were reports that Chang Yao had gone missing. Insiders claimed his loss of contact is directly related to internal corruption at Longxing, particularly involving the "KOC media cooperation project" funding issues, and his friend circle has been cut off since June 24th, 2025.
In 2022, Chang Yao served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Longxing Automobile (601633), responsible for the operation and management of Tanke's user base; in April 2024, he was promoted to Vice President of Tanke, overseeing Longxing Automobile's central platform for user operations; and in May 2025, he became CEO of Tanke.
