Chang'an Automobile Group Targets 5 Million Units in Production and Sales by 2030

July 29, Chang'an Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was established in Chongqing and became China's third state-owned automaker. On July 30, Chang'an Automobile Group held its first media communication meeting and announced its strategic planning officially.
Chang'an Automobile's strategy and goals are to build a globally competitive automotive group with independent core technology and become a world-class automotive brand.
Specifically, by 2030, Chang'an Automobile aims to achieve an annual production and sales volume of 5 million units, with new energy vehicles accounting for over 60% and overseas sales accounting for over 30%. It also aims to become a top-10 global automotive brand and become a world-class automotive brand.
In terms of specific targets, "New Century Avita" will continue to be Chang'an Automobile's high-end intelligent electric vehicle brand, leveraging the group's strategic resources and advantages to accelerate development and layout. It will solidify its leadership in the smart mobility field and become a benchmark for state-owned automotive brands.
"New Century Blue" is expected to play a key role as Chang'an Automobile's high-quality development, technological breakthroughs, and core engine for global expansion. It will shoulder the responsibility of the brand mission and open up a new era, helping Chang'an Automobile build a world-class Chinese intelligent manufacturing brand.
"New Century Origin" is expected to focus on key technologies such as intelligent driving assistance, seatback, bottom plate, wisdom blue dynamic power, and gold clock battery, building a comprehensive service platform for the brand's digitization development.
In the first half of this year, Chang'an Automobile achieved a total revenue of 146.9 billion yuan. The company's overall sales volume grew steadily, with production and sales of 1.355 million units, setting a new high in nearly 8 years. New energy vehicle sales reached 452,000 units, up 49.1% year-on-year, while overseas sales reached 299,000 units, up 5.1% year-on-year. The company is expected to achieve an annual sales volume of 3 million units and new energy vehicle sales of 100,000 units.
The new group will implement multiple specific actions to realize its strategic plans. This includes implementing the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle development strategy, strengthening industry ecology and integration, and further improving the supply chain and security levels.
Chang'an Automobile will accelerate the implementation of three major strategic plans. The "Shangri-La" plan is to build a world-class new energy vehicle platform, further enhancing platform universality rates and achieving an annual production volume of over 100,000 units. The "Beidou Tianxun" plan will focus on core technologies such as intelligent driving, bottom plate, and wisdom seatback, building a comprehensive service platform for the brand's digitization development. The "Haina Baichuan" plan is to accelerate global expansion and implement the "152" globalization layout.
Chang'an Automobile Group predicts that in the future, new cars will be "smart cars with robotic functions." It will build a comprehensive new energy brand matrix and continue to develop Avita, Blue, and Chang'an three major brands globally. Over the next decade, the company will invest over 200 billion yuan in the new car field, adding more than 10,000 people to its technology innovation team and achieving technological exploration and product realization.
