Controversy Over Ideal's First Electric SUV Crash Test! Can Heavy Trucks Beat Ideal i8?
Ideal's first electric SUV sparks controversy over crash test.
During the release conference for Ideal i8, Ideal officially released a video showing a collision between their car and a heavy truck. The footage shows that when the two vehicles collide head-on, the truck's four wheels lift off the ground, and the driver's cabin and cargo box are severely damaged, with the former almost falling onto the windshield of Ideal's i8 model.
Due to the lack of a direction indicator on the heavy truck's steering wheel, netizens discovered that the truck is actually from Dragon Truck. As of now, the latest video shows that the logo of this truck brand has been censored.
In response to online queries, Dragon Truck's official Douyin account replied that their legal department is handling the matter and left a comment saying, "We've been played. Clever people can see through it." "I don't know what the director behind this wants to achieve. How do you think an actual collision would turn out?"
Regarding this matter, Sina Technology contacted Ideal Motors for clarification, but they have yet to respond.
